James-Paul Dice is the chief meteorologist at Fox 6. James-Paul joined Fox 6 in August 2008, but is no stranger to Alabama weather. He previously worked for 11 years as a TV meteorologist in Huntsville. James-Paul keeps a weather blog on MyFoxAL.com.

Mickey Ferguson is a popular member of the Good Day Alabama team. He delivers his forecasts several times an hour and loves to be part of the show. Mickey has a lot of experience forecasting and working in television. Mickey also has a weather blog on MyFoxAL.com, and also loves to spend his time playing games on his favorite weather website, Weather Playground.

Fred Hunter is the weather authority on Fox 6 weekend newscasts. Fred has been forecasting weather here at FOX 6 since 1997, with previous jobs in Austin, Texas, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Fred has covered many hurricane and severe storms over the years, including Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and the tornado outbreak in Jefferson County on April 8, 1998. Fred updates his blog every chance he gets, and is also the author of the popular news segment on FOX6, Absolutely Alabama.

Sara Sanders joined the FOX6 weather team as a meteorologist in August of 2008. She brings years of experience as a meteorologist to the FOX6 Weather team, having previously worked at WVUA-TV in Tuscaloosa, and most recently at WIAT-TV in her hometown of Birmingham. Prior to entering the workforce, Sara graduated from the University of Alabama with a major in broadcast news, and a minor in Spanish. Following graduation, she worked on a Master’s in Spanish Education at the University of Alabama until her lifetime interest in the weather led her to Mississippi State University where she received a Master’s of Science in broadcast meteorology. She has covered many severe weather events in the state including hurricanes, floods, and tornado outbreaks.

Dennis Washington is a storm chaser for Fox 6 and the Senior Web Producer for MyFoxAL.com. When severe weather threatens Alabama, Dennis tracks the storms in the FOX6 StormTracker. Dennis has worked at Fox 6 since 1995, and is in charge with the content management of MyFoxAL.com, MyFoxStorm.com, WeatherPlayground.com, and TellFox.com. You can read Dennis' blog here.
